Liquid Oxygen Systems Used for patients that require more than 5 liters per minute. Portable Gas Systems Used for patients that need oxygen for mobility. May be gaseous or liquid. Nebulizers Used to deliver medications to patients with breathing difficulties and sometimes to deliver antibiotics via inhaler route. Some common inhalation medications are: Albuterol, Atrovent, Azmacort CPAP Continuous Positive Airway Pressure Used most commonly for sleep apnea patients, but also can be used for patients with head trauma or paralysis.
